Meet Wang Wang, an adorable German shepherd who serves as a sniffer dog at a security checkpoint in Xichuan, located in the central Chinese province of Henan. However, after eight years of dedicated service, he will be retiring in June 2019. His agent is currently searching for a loving home where he can spend the rest of his life. In a heartwarming incident last month, a police officer surprised Wang Wang by paying him a visit while on patrol near his house. The encounter was captured on video and shared on the Xichuan police Douyin account, which is the Chinese equivalent of TikTok.
Upon hearing from the previous agent, Wang Wang quickly rushed out of the front door and was immediately embraced by the former owner. He licked his legs and cried, refusing to leave his side even when the patrol arrived. The message stated that despite Wang Wang’s hair turning grey, he remained healthy and well-fed, making it hard to bid farewell to a dear friend.
