Abandoned and Tethered Pooch Discovers Guardian Angels at Local Shelter

On a lovely Wednesday morning, the RSPCA Woodside Animal Center in Leicester, UK, was getting ready for the day when something caught their attention. A dog was tied to the front gate, eagerly wagging her tail at the sight of the staff. The poor pup seemed neglected and abandoned by her owner, and nobody knew how long she had been there for. The spokeswoman from the center described the dog’s pitiful state, with her head pushed through the bars of the gate, ears back, and big, brown puppy dog eyes looking up at them. The staff couldn’t help but feel sorry for her and wanted to help her as soon as possible.

A lovable canine, known as Misty, was rescued and brought to a shelter due to her severely malnourished state and a few wounds on her nose and skin. The shelter staff discovered a microchip implanted in Misty’s body but the contact number on the chip did not lead them to her current owner. Instead, it was revealed that she had been rehomed several years ago before being abandoned and eventually found by the shelter. Despite her unfortunate situation, Misty is now safe and well-cared for. The RSPCA is appealing to the public for any information about Misty’s previous owner or whereabouts. According to Karl Marston, an inspector from the RSPCA, “We’re now hoping the public may be able to help with our investigation.”

It brings us great joy to hear that Misty is taking it easy and recuperating after the trauma of being neglected at the shelter. As soon as she’s back on her feet, we’ll find her a permanent loving home where she’ll receive all the care she deserves. The best part? She won’t have to fear being abandoned ever again!

In case you have any leads regarding the person who left Misty behind, please don’t hesitate to contact the RSPCA at 0300 123 8018.
